I need to create custom environmental conditions in  WINDOW.  I was previously using v7.7.10, but would get a db error when I tried to create the custom condition.  I found the notation on the v7.7.10 download page saying it was a known bug, and the recommendation was to uninstall 7.7.10 and install 7.7.07.

I uninstalled 7.7.10, however when I click on the 7.7.07 download link I get an error message saying "You are not authorized to access this page."

Help!  Can I please get a download link for 7.7.07?

I just added 7.7.07 back to the main WINDOW download page, below 7.7.10

You may need to refresh your browser to see the change.

Let me know if you don't see it.

Hi Robin,

I discovered something strange when trying to determine why my WINDOW v7.7.07 COG U-factor results were not matching my v7.6 results, or my co-workers v7.7.10 results.  I had uninstalled v7.7.10 and installed v7.7.07 a few weeks ago because I needed to create some custom boundary conditions (see email chain below).

It appears to me that by creating custom boundary conditions in v7.7.07 the program over-wrote some of the fields in the pre-defined (and protected) NFRC 100-2010 environmental condition definition.  I thought that this information may be useful to your programing team as they try to fix the creation of custom boundary conditions for future versions.

I’ve attached some screenshots to try to illustrate what I am seeing.  I don’t think I can export my environmental conditions for your team to look at, but I suspect if they test creating a new enviro condition in v7.7.07 they may see the same type of result.

On the first page of the attached pdf you see the listing of the enviro conditions.  The NFRC U-factor outside temp is showing up as -20 (should be -18), which co-incidentally matches the u-factor outside temperatures on my two custom enviro conditions (highlighted with the red boxes).  The NFRC SHGC inside temp is showing as 23.3 (should be 24).  Again, this value happens to be in one of my two custom enviro condition definitions (highlighted with the green boxes).

I have added side by side screenshots of the four different Environmental Condition definition “tabs” showing what my NFRC 100-2010 definition not looks like along side one of my custom conditions.  The problematic areas are clouded in red.

Hopefully this information is helpful to your team!
Crystal
