Was just wondering... do you build your bell tree with highest bell at the top, lowest at the bottom; or other way around?

I've seen it done both ways.  In the early days, Michael Kastner strung them with the bigger bells on top because of the touching problem.  I string them low to high (high on top) because it is more logical for me to mallet higher up the string as the notes go higher (with separators solving the touching problem).  I do have a video, though, of two ringers on one stand who are playing a duet where one ringer has the smaller bells on top and the other one has the bigger bells on top!  Linda Krantz, was that you?

I’ve seen both of these examples, it really depends on what speaks best to you.  Personally, I have the highest bell on the top and the lowest bell on the bottom.

Yes, that was me - a Christmas program that I played with another ringer, who really likes to low bells on top and the higher ones on the bottom.  I have mine strung exactly like you do Barbara, for exactly the same reason!
