Dear all,
USDA has made it possible for us to hire seasonal technician support. The main constraint is a tight timeline—we need to have applicants selected by the end of next week (April 24).
I am looking to fill several positions focused broadly on bee molecular systematics and genomics. Please see the attached flyer and feel free to forward it to anyone who might be interested.
These positions may involve:
-
Processing museum specimens (imaging, curation, leg sampling)
-
Working in a molecular lab (DNA extraction, NGS library preparation)
-
Assisting with fieldwork for genomic sampling
The ideal candidates would have some background relevant to these activities. Salary and duration are flexible, but I am hoping to support hires through the summer and potentially through the end of the fiscal year. Candidates must be U.S. citezens.
Thanks very much for your help in sharing this opportunity.
Best,
Michael
