Hey folks,

I'm working with the Butterfly Pavilion in Denver, Colorado, USA on an exhibit on Colorado's wild bees. We have several photos of other species already, but specifically were hoping to locate some striking photos of Bombus occidentalis, Bombus rufocinctus, and Nomia melanderi.

If anyone has photos of these species they'd be willing to share, please let me know. You will, of course, be credited and I can buy you a drink at a meeting or something, but I am not sure I have any reasonable mechanism to truly compensate you (and our budget on this is not exactly stunning anyway).

Feel free to email me here or at john...@colostate.edu

Thanks!

John

Hi John,
Not sure if you are looking for alive or preserved, but the USGS Bee Lab has many amazing photos of preserved specimens on Flickr:

I didn't see any Nomia melanderi with a quick search, but Sam or Clare may know.

Best,
Erika
