Bedford Town Trail Walk
Saturday April 5, 2025, 10:00 a.m.
Concord Rd. town land
Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free trail walk in the woods on April 5, 2025.
We plan to explore the town land north of Hanscom Field. Pace will be leisurely to downright slow.
Expect very muddy terrain, and ticks.
The walk is less than 3 miles round trip and will take about 2.5 hours.
April weather! The walk will proceed in almost any weather! Prepare for cold or warm; and mud; with appropriate footwear and waterproof layers. Walking sticks are helpful, mudboots are necessary.
This Bedford town land is a mix of conservation land and undeveloped land, mainly flat, with varying trail quality. We may need to bushwhack around some blowdowns.
When and where:
Rendezvous at the parking lot behind town library (parking spaces facing library DVD room) at 9:45 a.m.
Leave from the parking lot behind the Bedford Free Public Library to reach trailhead near 10:00 a.m.
We’ll park at Lavender Lane trailhead.
Leader:
Bruce Wisentaner
Note: All walks are at your own risk. Depending on the time of the year, ticks may be out, poison ivy may be active, and Covid-19 is still real. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or boots that can handle wet or mud. Dogs on a leash and children are welcome.
