Is it possible to add the actual path and filename to the transactions directive? For instance like this:

2014-02-16 * "Buying some IBM" Assets:US:ETrade:IBM 10 IBM {160.00 USD} Assets:US:ETrade:Cash -1600.00 USD document: "///path/trading-confirmation.pdf"

What I am looking for is a clickable link on transaction within Fava.

Thanks,
Andrej

You can on entry metadata, but not (yet) on posting metadata.

See https://github.com/beancount/fava/issues/1866

Thank you. I voted for this feature on Github. It seems quite cumbersome to me
opening Beancount file in Emacs in order to be able to click an a link and see
the pdf instead of doing it within Fava.

Cheers,

Sounds like a very simple plugin could copy the document metadata from the first posting with it into the transaction's metadata, which would allow Fava's linking to work. Until Fava implements the feature ask.
