Remapping Earnings:Current - What am I doing wrong?

I have:

option "account_current_earnings" "Equity:Gewinnvortrag"

which is not taken into account when using fava. I have found issues on github that have spoken about a problem with leaf accounts when using this option, but it seems to have been sorted out in the past.

In my fava it stays on Equity:Earnings:Current.

Did I do something wrong? Do you have any ideas on how to sort it out?

What version of Fava are you using?  I just tried setting option "account_current_earnings" "Equity:Gewinnvortrag" in my beancount file, using Fava 1.30.1, and beancount 3.1.0, and it appears to work as intended.  I get Equity:Gewinnvortrag under fava, instead of Equity:Current.

What does it show under the "options" menu/link in Fava?  It should show the current fava, as well as beancount options, and what files are being loaded.  Perhaps you're not including the option declaration in the proper / current beancount file?

Thanks for checking this. My version number match, yet it seems that options do need to be in the main input file and are not used when including files. So I'll move my options from my chart of account file to my "main" file.

I havent seen a reference in the docs that mentions this, but I might be blind.

I'm not sure if it's explicitly stated anywhere, but it appears to be a limitation of the current implementation.  See: Beancount v3

I'd never tried setting them anywhere but my main file.
