Hello everybody.

I am just wondering what is the purpose to store a filename metadata in posting object, this is in addition to the filename metadata in the transaction object.

Can there be a situation, when transaction and belonging to it posting would come from different files?

I think it was just added by default. Also, the "filename" field really is a source identifier saying "where does this bit of data originate from?" and for postings created by plugins that could be the plugin name. It should probably be renamed to "source" in the new version.
