double-check before I round-file my BBB

I momentarily placed a +5v signal on a GPIO pin, despite knowing full well not to do so.

The BBB now has a single flash of the blue power led when power is applied, and nothing else happens.

I'm assuming this is dead in the water. Purchased a couple years ago from Amazon who sourced from Element14.

Before I chuck it into the circular file / wastebasket / lessons learned collection, are there any recovery methods, repair options that make economic sense, etc?

I didn't think so, but it was worth a post.
