remove capacitor when connecting external antenna?

Do i need to desolder the capacitor connection to the chip antenna when i attach the external antenna? It still works when i do not desolder it, but will this affect the performance etc..?? Is it recommended to desolder it?

I cant seem to find any instructions on this anywhere
