Trying to copy a .jpg file from an SD card (mmcblk0p1) to /home/debian/tempdir to change the background on the desktop but can't find a simple way to do it.

Any help would be appreciated.

What have you tried?

Are you booted on the eMMC (I'm presuming you want to change the
contents on the eMMC and are using the SD card as a data "drive")

Is the SD card mounted?

What type of copy command did you issue?

Would it be easier to just sFTP from some desktop computer and push the
file to the Beagle? (Or, if the desktop is running an FTP server -- less
likely -- FTP from a Beagle command line to the desktop and pull the file)

Hi Dennis,

Appreciate the prompt reply.

Complete newby on Linux and was trying to do this via the terminal.

Just discovered the file manager on the QL desktop! 😩

Problem resolved.

Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Regards

Paul
