Hello

I have following kernel on my BeagleBone black:

Linux beaglebone 4.19.94-ti-r37 #1buster SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 13 20:56:28 UTC 2020 armv7l GNU/Linux

Why is it compiled as SMP (CONFIG_SMP) when Sitara ARM Cortex-A8 has only one core?

Correct, SMP is enabled in the default shipping kernel.

As that kernel is also what we ship by default for the BeagleBoard-X15
and BeagleBone-AI which are a dual core Cortex-A15's..
