Official 8.4 image uses 3.2G ?

I just got the official 8.4 BB image , modified it to flash eMMC and flashed a BB rev C.

When it came up I did a df -h and saw it using 97% before I have loaded anything else!

does this look normal and how much space is available for my 'stuff'

cd /opt/scripts/tools/
git pull
sudo ./grow_partition.sh
sudo reboot
