I'm powering a beaglebone (BBGW) through the header pins rather than the micro-USB connector.

Is it possible to use the micro USB as a further host connector instead of a device ? Perhaps by providing independent power to the attached device, as I don't think the beaglebone's power controller is intended to supply power in that direction.
