Should we put ID EEPROM's on capes anymore?

Given that overlays have to be loaded at bootanyway, does it even make any sense to keep adding EEPROM for identification?

Does your cape use the LCD interface? Or does it need to disable any onboard device?

In that case, it's recommended, as we can disable those conflicts in u-boot...

Otherwise, it's up to you.

Thanks, Robert.  Then I'll still install an EEPROM on my boards since there is still usefulness.
