Hi !

I try to make the WiFi work on my beaglebone black running Wheezy (image found here ) on a uSD card, and using the wireless usb adapter TPLink TL WN722N.

I'm trying this tutorial/stack exchange detailed answer . There are two things that I couldn't manage :

1) install linux-headers-generic but I could still install linux-headers-'uname -r'
2) execute sudo update-grub which is normal I guess, according to the image I use

I can see the adapter when executing iwconfig and lsusb. But, when trying to activate the wifi, I either make the whole BBB crash, or don't have a helpful result :

<# ip link set wlan0 up> crashes everything
and finally an <iwlist scan> gives back      wlan0     Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down

If anyone has an idea ! I've been struggling to make the WiFi work with this adapter on BBB, trying everything with Ubuntu, Angstrom and Debian.
Everytime, I either don't find an explanation, or the instructions don't execute as they should (dependencies issues for example...)

Thanks !
