Does the BBB USB have the bandwidth to use a cheap webcam? I've been looking into this for a while and the answer seems to be no. I have a cheap camera, lsusb shows it to be a "Vega USB 2.0 Camera" . This is in the uvcvideo supported list. I can only grab 160x120 images. Lots of older posts (2012-2013) talk about usb driver dma issues.
Is there any current info on the state of BBB usb drivers and webcams?

BTW - The camera works fine on an rpi and my mac
