I get hundreds of useless warnings :
Element “<dt>” implicitly closed here
In the past I was able to get rid of that but don't remember how to configure BBedit
Can you help? Thanks.

At the top of the HTML Syntax Errors window, you can uncheck the display of errors and/or warnings and/or notes.

Hi Alain,

Those warnings are probably reporting that your document has unclosed "<dt>" tags (missing "</dt>").
You might try to have Tidy add the missing "</dt>" for you with:

menu Markup > Tidy > Clean Document

After running the command and before saving the document, you can check the performed changes with:

menu Search > Find Differences… > Compare Against Disk File

and eventually revert undesired changes.

Thanks for your answers but that's not what i'm looking for. I know how to show/hide results (I used BBEdit for 20 years), I don't want to modify hundreds of files. In fact following a new MacOS installation I lost all my preferences, until last week BBedit behaved like I expect, I restored Application Support BBEdit folder but there is probably a hidden preference somewhere for those implicit closed tags.

Solved : I restored com.barebones.bbedit.plist, HTMLSyntaxChecker:WarnForImplicitlyClosedTags hidden preference
