I love the LSP-powered "Go to Definition" command and use it constantly. I haven't found a way to return to where I was when I'm done looking at the definition. There are a couple of kind of ways to do that:

- If "Go to Definition" opens another file, I can cmd-W close it when I'm done.

- If GtD goes to a distance place in the same file, I can use Go > Jump Points > Previous to get back to where I was.

- If GtD is to another line that was already visible on the screen, neither of those work. "Previous" takes me back to some random place, depending on what I'd been doing before.

In any case, I haven't found a way to set a mark in one file, open another file, and then jump back to the original, so I don't know that I could easily script around it or do something clever with Keyboard Maestro.

Before I go too much further with this, am I missing something? Is there a single "do what I mean" command for "return to the place I was before Go to Definition"?
