BBEdit error "kErrLoginHostMiscErr (application error code: 22203)."

Hey there, 

my BBEdit worked fine for years with the same server I'm having trouble with right now. 

I started it up today after a year or so and when I try to connect to the FTP server I'm getting an error message: 

"This operation couldn't be completed, because an error occured.
kErrLoginHostMiscErr (application error code: 22203)."

I get this with several different accounts on the same web hosting service. 
Those accounts work perfectly fine in FileZilla and the passwords were saved in BBEdit as bookmarks. So this is not a wrong password issue. 

I tried another FTP-Server from a different webhoster and it worked. So it seems to have problems with exactly my hoster (hosteurope). 

Obviously I googled the error code and everything but I found basically nothing. 

I also updated to the newest Mac version of BBEdit but nothing changed. I also deactivated all firewalls, no result. 

I'm not using SFTP or anything like that.

It's shared hosting so there is no server log file I could look into. 

If someone has an idea, I'd be glad to hear it.

This is nearly always the result of a policy or configuration change on the server.

Have you contacted your hosting provider for assistance? They should be able to look at their logs and tell you what's going on, as well as if there have been changes.
