How to properly relocate BBEdit's settings/preferences back from Dropbox to where they belong?

Hey!

Back in 2016 you all (that's BBEdit-Talk ;-) helped me relocating BBEdit's settings/preferences in Dropbox. Thanks again for this! :-)

Then one and half year later, after a fresh install, the BBEdit-Backups got relocated in ~/Documents. Again, you helped me with this too :-).

Only now I've discovered that this happened again last summer, as I installed Mojave from scratch.
But instead of applying the last solution again I was thinking now about putting all (settings/preferences, backups etc.) back again (whatever "back" means) - that is no Dropbox anymore, everything should live locally.

Is there a proper way to do this?
