Error opening bbedit from the command line

You must allow `bbedit` to send events to the BBEdit application.

Use `tccutil reset AppleEvents` to reset the system's permissions, and try again.

bbedit: error: -1743

I receive this error when I try to launch BBEdit using the bbedit command line tool. This is new (probably after upgrading the OS?).

I ran the recommend command tccutil reset AppleEvents with no change.

BBEdit 

version 12.6.7 (412120, 64-bit, sandboxed)

macOS Mojave

Version 10.14.6

What's up with this new error?

Here's an excerpt from the 12.5 change notes which may help:

When running on macOS 10.14, the command-line tools will preflight
their operations to make sure that they've been allowed to send
events to BBEdit. This may prompt you to allow access. If you deny
access, or have previously done so, the tools won't work correctly
until you run this Terminal command (and they will tell you so):

tccutil reset AppleEvents

If using tccutil doesn't solve the problem, then you are likely
using iTerm2 and your beta is out of date. Updating iTerm to the
latest available version should resolve this.

I don't know - there's a beta on their web site.

You can also check to make sure that iTerm2 is allowed to
control BBEdit. This is done in the "Automation" section of the
"Security & Privacy" system preferences.
