Hi all,
I've been using BBEdit for about a year and love it. I discovered the "Commands" menu (Go > Commands) and have found it super useful. However, I've noticed that it doesn't stay in the same position, even if I drag the window where I want it. After I close it, it will show up off to the side of my screen away from the main window when I invoke the shortcut again. I'm curious, has anyone else had this happen? Any way to get it to stick to the last location you dragged the window? Am I missing something obvious? Not sure if I ran into a rare bug.

Update: I've noticed that if I invoke the Commands menu and use it (e.g. search for a file and then hit Enter), and then invoke it again, the window position of the Commands menu will move slightly down and to the right. If I repeat this, eventually the window gets down to the bottom right of the screen and on the next time I invoke Commands, the window wraps to the top left corner of the screen. So, it's traveling! Strange. However, if I open up Commands and decide to hit escape instead of using it to run a command or open a file, it will be in the same position as it was before. It only travels like this (down and to the right) if I use it. I use a window manager application, Rectangle, and I quit that to see if it was interfering in some unexpected way with window positioning, but that didn't change the behavior. I'm on macOS 14.7.4 and run BBEdit 15.1.4. Might be a rare bug. I'll forward this to support. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Best regards,
Jakub

Checked on BBEdit version: 15.1.4 (15B64), macOS version: 15.3.2 (24D2082), and there's no traveling command window symptom. For the few commands I ran using the Command window, the Command window reappeared at the exact same position the next time the Command window was called up. No different than the same window position on invoking the Command window after previously closing the Command window by hitting the escape key without running a command from the Command window's command list.
