How to save coding work?

Hello,

When using the Ardublock app, and I want to save my child's work, do I just hit the "SAVE" button? Will I be able to find the file afterwards if we close the app or turn off the computer? We need to show my child's work for school. What's the best way to show all the code that she's written? Right now, I can do a screenshot, but it only captures one page and not the whole code.

Can you send me a screenshot of the ardublock version that you are using?  We have a couple versions out there, so just to want to make sure that I provide you the right instructions :).

Hi Malisa,

Thanks for the screenshot!  So sorry to hear that she lost her work :(.  But yes, you can just click "save", and you will be able to open the program again in the future.  Make sure to keep an eye on which folder you save it to as well as the name you give it so that you can find it later.

To open it later, you would just need to click on "open" and the go find the file.

Also, if you want to send me the file that you save (it will be a .abp file), I can try to capture all the blocks for you to show off the code. You can also just try to move around within the workspace and take multiple screen shots.  Hope that helps!
