Unable to load any shared library for libbareoscats-mysql.so since update v20 to v21

Hi!

I have a problem with bareos director since updating from version 20 to version 21.
I'm on debian 11 and it worked fine before.

When I restart bareos director, I end up with the error "Unable to load any shared library for libbareoscats-mysql.so", without further details.

Someone would have any idea ? I found some leads on this forum like running a mysql update script but it doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance :)

From v21 announcement:

Users who have installed a previous version of Bareos and still rely on MySQL as catalog database must first upgrade to Bareos 20 and migrate the catalog to PostgreSQL using the bareos-dbcopy tool before upgrading to Bareos 21.

Bareos v21 does not support MySQL catalogs any more.

For those who want to downgrade to version 20, do:
sudo apt install bareos=20.0.1-3 bareos-director=20.0.1-3 bareos-client=20.0.1-3 bareos-storage=20.0.1-3 bareos-common=20.0.1-3 bareos-database- common=20.0.1-3 bareos-bconsole=20.0.1-3 bareos-filedaemon=20.0.1-3 bareos-database-tools=20.0.1-3

This works again for me and will allow me to migrate to postgresql.

could you describe the exact way you did the upgrade (including the
commands you ran)?
Your package manager should have stopped you, because it could not
upgrade the bareos-database-mysql package. At least that is what I saw
when I tested it before we released the packages.

If you could elaborate on how exactly you did the upgrade, we might be
able to improve the situation so nobody else falls into that pit.
