Hello,

We are looking for a Frontend Developer (m/f/d) to lead the development of a new, modern web interface for Bareos. The goal is an intuitive, high-performance and secure UI that makes backup administration, monitoring and reporting straightforward.

Key responsibilities

Lead the development of a new user interface for Bareos

Choose the technology stack with the team

Ensure long-term maintainability

Work in an international team

Develop open-source software and make your work visible to everyone

What we’re looking for

Strong web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)

UI/UX understanding for technical applications

Experience with React, Angular, or similar frameworks

Confident with Git and common workflows

Structured, self-driven working style

Good English (team meetings are mainly in English)

Employment: Full-time or part-time Location: Cologne, Germany (hybrid – one office day/week)
