odd log entry with virtual full

i have this in the logs:
814 2023-12-25 22:44:26 bareos-dir JobId 108: Created new Volume "AI-Consolidated-0395" in catalog.

which means (for me) file is created, but then not found.
i'm using the latest comminity 23.0.1 version.
why is this error comming up?
