Is there documentation to follow about setup?

Hi there, 

I have been looking at the documentation and tutorials on your wiki, what I am trying to do is rather simple, having BareOS managing a Quantum Loader with tapes and pickup files from a server to burn into tapes.

I have already installed the BareOS client on the client machine and the BareOS director on the tape server machine. They can communicate and now I need to start configure it.

I installed bareos-storage-tape altough it didn't create a default config at /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.d/storage/Tape.conf.example

I am on Debian 12

I basically just need some help on how to tie everything together, configure the job with what paths I want to backup into tapes, and let bearos manage the autochanger hardware.

Any help appreciated.

Hello Pasquale,
the configuration examples are installed into /usr/lib/bareos/defaultconfigs

There you find everything you need:

defaultconfigs/bareos-dir.d
defaultconfigs/bareos-dir.d/storage
defaultconfigs/bareos-dir.d/storage/Tape.conf.example
defaultconfigs/bareos-sd.d
defaultconfigs/bareos-sd.d/autochanger
defaultconfigs/bareos-sd.d/autochanger/autochanger-0.conf.example
defaultconfigs/bareos-sd.d/device
defaultconfigs/bareos-sd.d/device/tapedrive-0.conf.example
