Hi,

is there a clean way to check on the machine running the filedaemon,
whether any backups are pending (or even already running) or not?
(preferably without connecting bconsole to the director)

Currently, I check whether the filedaemon has connected to the storage
daemon - this seems to work most of the time, but when multiple backups
are scheduled sequentially from the same machine, there seems to be a gap
inbetween the backups, where no such connection exists.

Just to give you the big picture: This check is queried in a hook before
shutdown/reboot to not interrupt/abort any running backups.

regards,
Erich
