LTO-8 Tape Library bareos compatible?

Does someone know if ...

Tandberg Data Tape Library OV-NEO2u83Y NEOs T24 LTO-8

... is compatible out of the box with bareos? (Maybe someone is using this Tape Library)?

Hello Brigit,

as both the scsi tape and the scsi changer protocols have not changed since more than 20 years,
I am very sure that it will work with Bareos without problems.

I do not know of a single case where a SCSI (fibre-channel, sas)-based tape changer did not work
with Bareos.

If the changer is supported on Linux (i.e. you can use "tar" to write to the tape, and use "mtx" to
control the robot) it works.

You also can ask your vendor to guarantee it, so you can return it if it does not work :)

Thank you so much for your answers (private or public response).

This helps me a lot to decide.

At this place I want also say that I never ever had bigger problems with bareos: once configuret correctly it is working fine, it is just a great software !

In addition, I have been using a NEOs T24 LTO-8 for 2 years with Bareos, without any problem.
