When backing up the network information transfer rate is very low (max 12 MB/s).

Gigabit hardware is used by network.

The parameter "Maximum Network Buffer Size" changed by me - there is no result.

Tell me what the problem is?

Please check with iperf or some equivalent tool that the network can
actually transfer more than 12 MB/s from the FD to the SD machine.

But that doesn't imply you really have a gigabit connection between both
nodes...

Do *not* change this parameter. It won't help.

If it is stuck at 12 MB/s, some network component probably negotiated
100 MBit/s.

The network rate usually for already compressed data. Please consider also read disk IO rate, you may have bottleneck here.
