Hi I'm trying to have my freebsd bareos-dir version 21 connect to my bareos-fd version 22 on macOS. Which doesn't seem to work. Is that possible at all?

While it is not indicated as supported nor recommended to do so, it should work.
But not sure from where come the 21 version you're using.

Thank you. I have been able to make it work.
I use the native Freebsd Packaging system using the poudriere toolset. Creating my local customized pkg repository. I try to keep the environment simple and manageable by not having different package sources.
