Hi all,

We're evaluating Bareos, but it would be a showstopper for us if we can't correctly back up the various VMs we have on several Proxmox PVEs.

Google told me there is an 'Enterprise Bacula Proxmox VM Backup Plugin' for Bacula, but it doesn't seem to exist for Bareos?

I've come across some mentions of the bpipe plugin, which can be used instead. Is this indeed all one needs to back up VMs, regardless of their OS?

Hello!
Have you found a solution for this problem?

Why doesn't Bareos have a plugin for Proxmox? Or manual of how to do this using bpipe

No, I haven't found a solution. We opted to go for Archiware P5 instead.

We love to do this - hence anyone wanting this please drop me a line
(PM). Thanks!

Meanwhile stay tuned for upcoming Bareos 23 release. We have some
exciting news.

I use Proxmox and have built a solution. I have extra space on my backup storage node and have added NFS to it. Then I
added an NFS storage on Promox pointed to the NFS and have special jobs that run the backup. It is not as clean as
I would like but it does provide backup.

I am using Promox's internal backup process to generate the backups. It does take more space that something that
can look into the images and pull only changed blocks for Diffs. but it works.
