Postgres version needed and something new to play

Hi all

I would like to introduce myself  since it is my first post, I am stephane de Labrusse, a french developer on a Linux distribution  NethServer, my github is https://github.com/stephdl. The purpose of this distribution is to provides a business oriented server  like Univention, zentyal or clearOS.  

The community website of NethServer is  https://community.nethserver.org/, this is the place where I am really active, NethServer is a centos 7 clone with a server-manager based on cockpit to ease the sysadmin life. 

Now we can go to the goal of my topic, I did a rpm to install bareos from a rpm, it configures the postgres database, install the UI, create the PAM authentication with a user admin , integrates bareos inside the cockpit UI....well it is the beginning, I would like some inputs and tests if I could find some centos lovers.

I used rh-php73 for the webUI, I have one question relative to postgres, does the default version of centos7 is good enough (v9.2 IIRC) or I should switch to postgres10 of the software collection. The doc I read did not state on the needed version but stated that v10 is compatible.

some news of the front, I think I have my answer, even if RedHat will backport some important fixes:

EOL Notice for Version
        9.2

PostgreSQL version 9.2
        is now End-of-Life (EOL). No additional updates or security
        patches will be released by the community for this version.
        Users still on 9.2 are urged to upgrade as soon as possible. See
        our Versioning
          Policy for more information.

I will switch to V10

Relative to my module, now you can login to the web-ui, when you are the admin user, or any member of the group bareos.

things are moving :)

I will be happy to integrate some scripts inside my modules, if you have ideas, please shoot

apologies for not getting back to you earlier. The reason is quite simple I'm the bottle neck especially these days.
Many thanks for your efforts - I forwarded your request sent from your nethserver community when you addressed me to our developers. Apparently they have been quite busy with our new release and fixes for the new bugs.

So thanks for joining our community ml and a warm welcome. I'm convinced that will increase attention and hopefully provide the info you need.
