Dear Friends,

In order to sort out the long pending issue of Updation of Pension of Bank Retirees, the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has reportedly formed  a committee of eight General  Managers of PSBs, Mr Kharwa, Chairman of SBI and Mr Sunil Mehta, CEO of IBA under the Chairmanship of Mr Raj Kiran Rai, Chairman of IBA. They will meet on 22nd June, 2021.

It is hoped that the wisdom will prevail upon the Committee and the issue of Updation of Pension is resolved on the lines of that of RBI.

Let's await their report. Regards.

I contacted my friend in Central bank who in turn got in touch with Sri Lakshman rao. He informed nothing is finalised. Only committee form, who will deliberate all these in. 22-06-2021.So let us keep our crossed for the day, if any surprise to happen under FM/PMO instructions through DFS like RBI. May Bhagawan bless all of us.

Friends,

It is a welcome News and when from  responsible  persons/sources,  should be believed  and no negativity please. Many people on this blog were spearheading the campaign for various issues of retirees.  Covid-19 was a worry for all and the delay should be attributed to unavoidable circumstances. We must feel gratitude for everybody and anybody who has taken so much pain. At least request those who say "ALL LIES"  must desist from spreading negativity and that person has never said anything positive on this blog.  Some are even cursing the FM sheerly out of frustration. Friends, the lady Hon'ble FM is the only FM who has taken so much interest in bank retirees and we must be thankful to her and the God who brought such a FM to the forefront.  Never seen such a FM or any minister during my career spanning from 1973,  who has  talked  so openly in your favour and with much compassion and was listening to your voice. But she also had to run the finance administration of the country, more particularly in toughest times like Covid- 19 situation,  the damon, second waive. I had been maintaining since her first interview in October 2020, that now the pension updation has to happen, but  is a matter of time.  This reach is not far away and shall happen during this year. This is what I feel and efforts were needed and the people/associations are on the job. We must reinforce their efforts and encourage them.  Hope for the best and best of luck to all.

Yes, I fully agree with Mr.JSoma Shekara that at this point we must stop discussions on unsubstantiated matters and concentrate on how to get our long pending legitimate demands achieved. Discrimination and denial of payment of 100% D.A.to the pre Nov.2002 retirees is an old and long pending issue raised along with updation. We must consider both the issues to be settled to the satisfaction of the retirees.

PM and FM have not come from Mars. They are elected by people. AIBRF women members wing, Chennai retiree association and others have met FM and submitted representation. Many MPs have met FM and presented recommendation letters to FM.

If Union leaders seek appointment with FM it will be granted.

Instead they prefer writing letters.
