IT is surprising  Mr CN Prasad is heaping praises on UFBU  on their negotiation and MOU on health insurance
None of the demands have been conceded by IBA
1. Demand to bear  the premium of basic Policy  of 2lacs by banks
2. Clubbing  employees and retirees policies under one scheme to reduce premium burden of retirees
3. The basic Policy evolved curtails benefits.by ceiling fixation
4. The Insurance  company should approve such hospital only which charge as per prescribed  rates for eachmand every procedure, bed charges, medications, consultation, all types of surgery  etc.
If the Hospitals charge more than the approved one [ with in Insurance cover].it is not acceptable.  On the whole the cashless  Policy should have real meaning  and implementation
I feel UFBU.talks is A TOTAL  betrayal  of Retirees demands.

Any concession in medical aid to retirees is just a lollypop as compared to our pension updation . Leadership of UFBU or the retirees is raising the bogie of medical aid just to save their face and divert our attention from updation . I am of the considered opinion that it is better to do away with the medical scheme for the retirees provided their pension is updated !

Yes, priority should be for Pension updation, medical insurance is secondary.

Mr R balaji, updating of pension may not take this much time as now all retirees are concerned equally.
 Further DA anomaly is removed,
and there was only 2.5 % hike in basic pay in recent bipartites,
lastly IBA will prefer updation rather  than issue of special allowance being considered as pay for the purpose of pension.
They may consider only one proposal at a time '
DA anomaly took so many years because UFBU had linked it with updation issue. Otherwise it could have been resolved in 1917-18 only. These are my views.
I had written several times to delink DA issue from updation  and lastly DA issue is resolved first.

Dear Sir
what I meant was since now only DA anomaly settled and already next bipartitie talks began UFBU may put updation issue in the backbench and may take more years. further the enthusiasm among pre 2002 retirees also will become slow since their DA issue is settled now.
R BALAJI
