Dear Shri Sridhar Ramachandra ji,

As you may be aware half yearly DR of bank pensioners w.e.f 1st Aug’25,  are paid based on average AICPIN(IW) figures  for the past quarter ended in April,May and June’25.

In fact the actual  average CPI for above period  was at 9477 with a reduction of one slab as reported earlier.

However IBA has issued the circular with DR rate of previous half year without any change.

There fore there may not be any hike in DR payable lduring current half year.

I had mentioned this aspect while posting index numbers for July’25 under this forum.

Regards

Mohan.P
