WE ,canara bank retirees/pensioners are kept in dark by Canara bank pension fund i.e.all suspense
First of all, the bank is not taking photo of the employee's spouse and the required particulars on the
date of retirement., nor subsequently. Bank is silent thus for Best reasons known to them.
Also retiree unions asked for issue of Pension order in Book form as the pension payment order folios
are now in shabby condition as the paper quality is poor AND to get the spouse particulars in FULL
along with latest photos of ex-staff and spouse invariably. the suspense due to COST FACTOR. and
ultimately if any untoward incident happens, suspense for ALL..
some employees, of late, approached the branch/es and added their wife,s name ,specimen signature
to the existing SB pension account. in the account statement it is clear joint account, BUT in net banking
profile reads 'individual".NOW the point is when the account is joint with wife, Is it necessary to get
customer id for wife AGAIN .. wife of ex-staff Family of ex-staff.
So when the wife name is joint in the pension account , is it necessary to mention Family of ex-staff.
keep the ex-employee in Suspense. May be it is good on the part of Canara bank Pension fund.
there are no clear cut guidelines in the matter.
With Regards to All,
S.S.R.Murthy, ex-Canara bank,Hyderabad
(Singampalli Sri Rama Murthy).
