This is the fate of Bank pensioners and we are called white collared employees.
There is absolutely no unity among Bank pensioners associations.
Even after 30 years of Pension regulation and even after few courts have rejected 35/1 theory and pension fund adequate theory Retiree associations repeating the same.
Of Course there are few Issues outstanding 1. Updation 2. Merger of DA 3. Shifting base year for DA calculation 4. Pension on special allowance. 5. Enhancement of EX Gratia. 6, Resignee pensioners issues.
But Pensioners associations like AIBRF, AIBPARC, have no clarity on which issue should be taken on priority, what shall be the associations stand on the issue.
Today AIBRF will submit a representation to DFS listing 7 demands. Tomorrow AIBPARC will submit another representation listing 8 demands. Day after another association will submit another representation.
Can DFS get clarity on what pensioners actually want and will they take these representations seriously?
DFS is well aware that a case is pending and IBA has filed an affidavit making it stand clear on updation.
IBA has rejected AIBPARC claims of 35/1 and adequate pension funds. Will DFS overlook the IBA stand? If all retiree associations along with BMS submit a single representation demanding Updation first and follow it up regularly something can be achieved. IBA, UFBU. DFS all taking advantage of disunity among retiree associations
Now at least BMS is taking initiatives to unite retiree associations. But there seems to be some road blocks.
