We appreciate the efforts of AIRBEA and  Sr. C.N.Prasad in resolving the 1616-1684 issue and 5 year grace period issue through the judiciary.

The  long pending demand of pensioners are

1. Merger of DA@8088 points

2. Updation of Pension

3. Shifting of DA base year as  done in  case of post Nov 2022 retirees.

I think these issues are not covered in the representation of  AIRBEA.

Pre 2002 retirees  want urgent resolution of above issues either through negotiation or through judiciary.

Actually IBA/UFBUI have not held even a preliminary discussion on these issues.

IBA need any reason, logical or illogical to postpone discussions. May be because of various representations from retiree associations, due to strike and court case listed on 20th and pressure from DFS IBA has scheduled meeting  to discuss residual issues. This is a good news for retirees and let us see what is in store for us on 20th.

Under these circumstances postponing meeting is not fair.

Dear Shri Somashekara,

We are seeking the implementation of the Judgment in Civil Appeal No.5525 of 2012 and connected matters dated 13.02.2018.  Issues listed by you are not covered by the Judgment.  Therefore, we cannot claim any of the benefits you have listed.

When none of the Petitioners is providing the formula which he/they want out of the Supreme Court case in Singla's case, whether Hon'ble Supreme Court has the authority to step in to the shoes of Executive and direct pension updation by adopting a particular formula.

Still, many are raising expectations.
