Thanks,  the Goddess of Finance & Wealth,  Hon’ble FM Sitharaman,   was instrumental in  initiating and  approving  the enhancement in Family pension. Again,  ex-gratia enhancement happened at her instance.  Now, it is the turn of remaining retirees for the updation of pension and 100% DA and other issues of retirees.  High powered committee has been constituted with a positive purpose, at the direction of  FM and its  recommendation/suggestion to come,  are time bound i.e 21.07.2023.  She had given the clear indication to the IBA/UFBU  in October 2020, but  all these constituents dithered  on one excuse or the other but gave only  lucrative assurance  and the retirees have been losing hope with every passing day.

People had come to understand that, if pension updation does not happen by the end of this year, we should forget the issue forever.  Little hope was coming from  the UFBU leadership, as they had cheated the retirees on more than two occasions(BPS)  earlier. But, now, the pension updation and other issues barring a very few  issues, are going to see the light of the day,  at the hands of  Goddess of Finance & Wealth  and  this is certain to be final before the Diwali. Everything will be clear in a short time and we have every reason to celebrate. Dejection times seem to be over for the old retirees at least.

Let us hope for the good to happen and thank the lady Goddess ushering a beacon of hope for bank retirees.

My pranams to those SBI Top Executives who have taken a pragmatic view. There is an adage which says "If there is a will there is a way". True to it,SBI has demonstrated its desire to help the pensioners. 

Great. 

 Our working employees' union leaders ( who represent the pensioners too) may even induce IBA to formulate a scheme like this with a small difference, as PSU banks do not have funds. The difference is that it will be a recovery from pensioners at the rate not exceeding 50% of the monthly pension. 

Oh God, Bless the PSU Bank retirees.

The SBI management in its Circular announcing ex gratia to retirees has clearly acknowledged that financial position is better during last financial year. This will be apositive point for the committee appointed to look into pension updation of SBI retirees.
