Factual position is;

In our case all our demands, let it be pension updation/family pension  or other issues related DR etc  are placed under Charter of Demands submitted by UFBU to IBA in every BPS/JN settlement .

Reality  is that retirees do not have any other  channel for resolution of their long pending major issues, except through legal front.( Though it is a delayed process, we have also succeeded in resolving good number of our issues through legal way too)

Yes it is true that main agenda in BPS/JN  talks is on wage revision / service conditions of serving employees.

But our issues are found linked under the same as part of it.However, we have seen, often that our demands under COD  are not effectively discussed/ addressed in talks held between IBA/UFBU at various times  which continued  for long  period of three years or more!

As a result our major  issues are found included along with various 'Residual Issues',and remain unresolved.

Any way, great relief is enhancement of family pension and 100% DR  to pre Nov'2002  pensioners have already been  resolved benefitting good number of pensioners /spouses of deceased pensioners.

Intervention of Hon.FM on resolution of issues of bank retirees, and efforts of others too might have some impact on resolving above issues.

COD for 12th BPS /JN demands:

"Pension to be improved for all existing Pensioners, roadmap for
updation to be finalised"

Let it happen.

Finally what matters for serving employees is early conclusion of wage negotiations and other service conditions with respectable increase in  salaries.
DFS is firm on completion of BPS before Dec 2023.
Further as regards Updation also there are possibilities of the issue being resolved  by next month.
Committee  appointed to look into the Pension revision issues of SBI met on 07.07.23 and 26.07.23.
And in the meeting it was decided to seek views of IBA
IBA has already submitted its views.
And as per Court direction Committee has also discussed the issue with SBI federation.  Court directed the committee to take an independent decision after hearing all parties. As all procedures completed now the issue is with DFS. The issue is likely to be resolved any time.
Is there any attempt to sabotage Updation/early wage revision?
When wage revision and Updation are being resolved AIBEA has arranged a series of agitations  during Oct and Nov  for issues which are totally unrelated and irrelevant to Bank employees and Pensioners almost waging war on the government.
