I am unable to find a provision in mediassist portal or medibuddy app to upload bills pertaining to my post hospitalisation expenses.I sincerely request anybody who can guide (step by step procedure ) how to enter the details to claim reimbursement of POST HOSPITALISATION BILLS.
I am SBI RETIREE AND COVERED BY HEALTH ASSIST PLAN B which covers post hospitalisation expenses.

Dear Sir,
I too faced a lot of issues while trying to claim reimbursement after hospitalization.
Initially, they denied cashless treatment saying that the policy is not active. IBA didn't even send policy details for 3 months after policy creation.
Then when I submitted bills for reimbursement, they rejected saying that hospitalization is not for 24 hours. I had taken domiciliary policy also, but still, they didn't reimburse me for any tests and bills.
I feel Insurance is a big scam to dupe us from our money.

Regards,
Rayakar

Payment of health insurance premium is certain. Everything else is uncertain while setting the claim.

Yes, Mr.Sarma, your observation is correct.

In case of claim, it is not that easy. They will
find out some reason or other to avoid
instant reimbursement of the claim.
Rarely we get message of the claim
being settled at once.

You should complain to IRDA.Everybody tomtoms about new Health  insurance policy. Nobody assists at the time of claim settlement. You become more sick while struggling to  get claim settlement  than the original sickness itself. In the first one year only they did fast settlement and later it is hell of a problem. There Will  be a sikhandi  in between at the time of claim settlements. They are very rude and indifferent . This is  all spam.We should find which company  settles the claim with the least number of queries and then only opt.IBA policy is a white elephant  and it is eating and trampling the policy holders.
Instead  of opting to the policy ,it is better to keep  the premium in a recurring deposit and pay directly to the hospital.
We dont have any hassles or frustration.
They simply advertise one case and frustrate others.

With regards,
P Bhaskara Sarma

First complain to Insuarance Ombudsman of the Insurance company and then to regulators.

Yes Mr. Sarma, completely agree.
Better to save the premium in a deposit instead.
