For those bank retirees who are covered under their Banks Group Insurance Schemes AYUSHMAN is not available.   They can keep either bank's Group Insurance / or AYUSHMAN and not both as clarified by policy documents

Will you please provide the exact clause which denies the benefit to a person who is covered under Group insurance?

Please ignore my email on this subject.
Please get clarified with Banks' empaneled Insurance companies about admissibility of claim from Bank IBA / Group Insurance TPAs as to  whether Ayushman Bharath and / or Banks Insurance will be allowed.

We are over reacting to the post of Subramani. He has done nothing wrong. There is a report that those who are subscribing to private Insurance scheme can avail Ayushman Bharat Insurance cover for senior citizens above the age of 70.
IBA is a private body. The group Insurance scheme run by IBA is not funded by the  Banks and it is a paid scheme for retirees.
In fact if the govt start the scheme before IBA issues  health insurance circular many retirees would join the govt scheme.  Can IBA put a restriction that retirees cannot  avail health Insurance cover of the Government?

The problem is we don't study issues thoroughly but come to conclusions unprepared. Probably Mr H Subramanian is eager to get his doubts cleared thru this forum by his statement.

If he is convinced, let him not avail AYUSHMAN why confusing others

A COMPARISON
      with Government run AYUSHMAN insurance
       WITH EXISTING HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS
( FREE gift v/s PAID )

PLEASE READ IT AS IT IS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT & SHARE IT IN UR GROUPS

Government of India has extened "आयुष्मान" health insurance policy for all who r above 70.
It is well in the knowledge of almost all bank retirees that AIBRWA is also helping u thru a very affordable H.I.Scheme on floater basis with many  other bank Retirees associations through a very reputed Bombay based  re- insurance broker for the last few years w
Looking towards new phenomenon launched rather extened by government of India on the same issue.  Our organisation felt it  a bit serious n decided to comment before  to choose every best.

After consulting  few of friends in Delhi we came to some conclusion which is hereby stated for ur consideration
Please read it carefully n must  comment ur expert opinion to enable it more beneficial for all concerned.
Thanks ...

We have been getting various enquiries on the Ayushman Bharat scheme which has been extended to senior citizens above the age of 70 years.  and whether our Super top up policy can be extended to persons covered under this scheme.

We wish to inform you that the Super top up benefits can be taken by persons who do not have a single policy or are not covered in any scheme.
We have to opt a threshold limit of 3 lakhs post which you can claim under this policy.

To re-iterate once again the first 3 lakhs expenditure incurred towards hospitalization in the policy period have to be borne by the retiree and the remaining amount can be claimed from the Super top up policy.
So in that respect if a senior citizen isb covered in Ayushman Bharat he can avail our super top up policy for the same.

In order to ensure that every senior citizen takes an informed decision, we would like to give below the salient features of the scheme.

1. There is a sum insured of 5 lakhs which will be extended to the senior citizens for hospitalization.
2. Pre hospitalization and  hospitalization cover is given for 3 days respectively.
3. The scheme is completely cashless and whilst not available just in government hospitalization there are very few private hospitals especially in metro cities who are on the panel for Ayushman Bharat Treatment is on Cashless basis only and no reimbursement is allowed.
4. 2436 procedures and treatment types are covered. Any ailment which is not listed is not covered in the policy. Malaria, dengue, etc  is not covered.
5. It does not covered high end drugs, advanced medical procedures.
6. The treatment can be taken only in general wards.
7. In critical illnesses where treatment costs are very high, this policy cannot be used to give the appropriate cover.

8. The concept of Cashless anywhere is yet not applicable to this scheme and even if the 5 lakhs sum insured would be exhausted, cashless cannot be continued alongwith this scheme in the Super top up and one can only come for reimbursement in the Super top up policy.

9. Although this scheme has been launched with right intentions, the procedures and processes required to run and implement it smoothly across the country is yet to be properly established. With the influx of so many senior citizens it may be possible that there is a scarcity of bed capacity in general wards in the hospitals which are currently on the panel.

It is therefore advisable that whilst a senior citizen may certainly enrol or apply for this scheme, a complete dependency upon this scheme only as the source of hospitalization claims is not recommended. It is highly essential ton take an adequate insurance cover to offset any exigencies.

This post is for Every bank retiree  to consider every pros n cons of benefits who has already taken health insurance policy,  no matter from whom policy has been opted in the past.

Even if one is eligible, there are many things to be clarified. Admission to private hospitals is allowed?. Who will monitor the process like our TPA? As this is a government scheme, the reimbursement to private hospitals from the government will not be immediate. Most private hospitals will be reluctant to join. So one will be left with two choice. Get admitted to private hospitals under medical policy or get admitted to Ayushman approved hospitals to get benefits under the government scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) is an initiative to improve and secure the livelihoods of people from economically weaker sections of society.
The Aarogya Bharat Health Account or ABHA initiative is meant to encourage and help people create a digital record of their medical information.
ABHA card is  to avail the insurance cover through empanelled  hospitals.

What should I do if the West Bengal Government refuses to accept the Ayushman Bharat Insurance scheme  on the ground that they are not agree to bear the 40% cost of the treatment. Most peculiar thing is that most of the hospitals located in Kolkata are not accepting the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aragyo Yojana Scheme card. The 42 selected Hospitals agreed to admit the bank retirees for treatment under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aragyo Yojana Scheme provided the  Bank retirees  residential address must be out side West Bengal and Delhi state.
