MOU was very clear. Ex gratia will be calculated on total pension before deducting commutation as existed on 31.10.22. Since pre 2002 retirees got 100% DA from Oct 23 same was not included while calculating ex gratia. However confusion created by AIBEA which circulated EX gratia charts showing calculations taking 100% notional DA into account.

Surprisingly AIBEA since then has not given any explanation and also not circulated corrected chart.

This issue is taken up by AIBEA leader for consideration of 100% DA from 1 st November 2022 for calculations of Exgracia payment at appropriate level.pl refer the messages in  this blog.

While signing the MoU, UFBU did not visualise this problem of pre-Nov. 2002 retirees not getting 100% DR if October 2022 pension is taken as basis for ex-gratia calculation.

After signing the MoU, AIBEA circulated a chart considering notional 100% DR for these retirees, which shows that AIBEA 'feels' that notional 100% DR needs to be considered.

Immediately after signing of MoU, many retirees raised this concern. 

But, even after this, UFBU never cared to talk to IBA at least unofficially to clear the ambiguity.

This type of handling is not professional, particularly to AIBEA-like union which was once led by stalwarts like Prabhatkar!
