No pensioner has asked the IBA and UFBU to devise a health Insurance scheme for retirees. In fact on 25.05.15 pensioners were eagerly awaiting the proceedings of the BPS meeting believing that the pension updation scheme or 100% DA benefit would be announced. What we got was a wate paper called RECORD NOTE and so called IBA GMS scheme where IBA spends zero amount and 100% cost is borne by retirees. Now, the scheme is subscribed by only 20% of retirees.
UFBU did not want to share any amount from the staff welfare fund approved by DFS for each Bank with retirees so it devised by ascheme called IBA GMS.
Now 11 years has lapsed. During every review meeting UFBU shows lip service by including the line in suggestions
"upto RS. 200000 health Insurance premium shall be borne by banks". But it was never followed up for resolution.
Proper procedure is for UFBU to consult all retiree associations and prepare a list of suggestions.
AIBRF can add its letter to iBA on GMS to its monthly list of action talen list released every month and it has no value beyond that.
