This letter addressed to DFS and demanding parity with central government Pensioners benifits for bank pensioners is very much appreciated and a step in right direction.
The crux of the issue is to what extent the government DFS will respond?
The the expected stock reply will be the bank Pensioners issues are governed by bipartite settlement and a funded scheme therefore the government may insist for a proposal recommended by IBA.
This is a trillion dollar question ❓
Only alternative is legal fight through courts.
U FBU will not show any signs of negotiations with IBA.
Their own settled issues like 5 day banking and PLI issues are pending inspite strike actions and conciliatory proceedings.
Let us wait for the final verdict in Singlaji case for pension updation which is crucial stage.

It is intriguing to note that while parity has been sought on various issues, there is no specific mention about aligning the bank pensioners with central government pensioners in the matter of commensurate upward revision of pensions whenever salaries of employees of revised. I am not sure if such revision for CG Pensioners is done as stipulated in the central government employees pension rules, but the fact remains that this has been regularly done as part of every Pay Commission in the past.

Dear sri Ramaniji
It would have been sensible to seek parity with CG pensioners if all Banks had 100% equity from govt.  Unfortunately our unions were mute spectators when govt did Divestment  without an iota of concern for the it's Ill effects on employees  which we are witnessing now.
