Hello!
The XML files in the archives are displayed with the wrong icon, and the icon is that of the zip files. I'm using the 7.23 version of Bandizip in Windows 11.

Thank you for your bug report.

Could you show me the icon of the XML file in Explorer and a screenshot of the registry editor at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml\OpenWithProgids ?

I have failed to regenerate the problem in my Win11 test PC, so I need more clues. :(

Best Regards,

In this PC the XML files are not associated with a program and the icon is empty (blank sheet). The xml files in the settings page are displayed as associated with Internet Explorer.  I think IE is no longer present on this PC.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

Could you show me the result of this program?

If XML does not have an associated program, the result must be 0 like this.

I'm sorry for my late reply. (We had long holidays during last week.)

Please test this file again, I still cannot find the problem. :(

The result should be like this.

SHGetFileInfo - zip - 496
SHGetFileInfo - xml - 0, 0x0
SHGetFileInfo(SHGFI_ICON) - iIcon:0, hIcon:0x1be1205f

My results:

SHGetFileInfo - zip - 66

SHGetFileInfo - xml - 0, 0x0
SHGetFileInfo(SHGFI_ICON) - iIcon:0, hIcon:0x5a0135

The same happens with files 7z:

Thank you for your help. (again).

The problem occurs rarely, but luckily I could fix it. :)

The bug-fixed beta is here.
