Hi,
I am trying to install a package on a Nokia 6300 via WebIDE but when i started the remote connection i was met with a message that said ''The connected runtime has an old version (48.0a2). The minimum supported version is (52.0a1). This is an unsupported setup and may cause DevTools to fail. Please update the connection runtime.''
I then tried to install the package but it failed..?
Can someone please help me with this..?

Thank you

With my 6300 4G US version it complained about version mismatch too, but side-loaded the apps nevertheless.

I used kaisrt downloaded from here
https://s3.amazonaws.com/kaicloudsimulatordl/developer-portal/simulator/Kaiosrt_ubuntu.tar.bz2

ya, this is expected for pretty much all KaiOS devices.  you can ignore it.

can you provide a screenshot of your WebIDE screen w/ the install failure?

looks like your app may be missing something in the manifest.webapp file - possibly needs to set the app as privileged or certified.  what app are you trying to load / is this something you created?

ah - i _think_ i see what may be happening.  It looks like you're trying to install Wallace Toolbox on the Nokia 6300 4G, using WebIDE, yes?  I _think_ that only works if you have root access on the phone (i might be wrong about that) but it would explain why you're getting the errors you are.  if i'm right, you're not going to be able to sideload that app.  but you should be able to sideload other apps from the bananna hackers web store if you download them directly to your computer and sideload them via WebIDE.

actually, more accurately, this seems to be the issue, from the other more general 6300 thread.

Thanks,

From Yair's dumps, IMEI storage format in 6300/8000 became clear. The IMEI numbers are stored in a raw partition called rf_nv, under the addresses 0x88 and 0x108 for SIM1 and SIM2 respectively (and you can find the IEMI (IMEI backwards) signature at 0x80). They are represented in Qualcomm's standard format: prepend 80a to IMEI, split into pairs and invert each pair to get the written bytes. In theory, it's enough to alter these blocks in rf_nv partition and then erase modemst1 and modemst2 to apply the IMEI change.

P.S. Looks like Wallace Toolbox and libWallace will have to be completely rewritten for 6300/8000 devices once they are rooted.
