Hi there!

I'm reaching out because my team and I have been working on a reprogrammable Guitar Pedal for a couple of months now, and we want to test out a new and improved curriculum.

We've hosted past iterations of the workshop at NYC Resistor, Coney Island Maker Faire, and Hackaday Supercon. Typically our past workshops have gone over some basics of sound, and how digital signal processing works. Then we assemble the kits, and go over some programming. Usually after this we play with the effects and people will bring different instruments out and play with our new pedal.

You can check out info on our past workshops here.

Is this a workshop people would be in?

While I am no longer a dues paying member, I just wanted to say that I would DEFINITELY be interested in attending your workshop, and think I could convince at least two of my friends to attend. Long ago we at the Node did a pedal modding workshop (it was byop, but most of us ordered mod kits from the same place) that was pretty well attended for a relatively non-formal event. We also had a great turnout for a Peter Blasser Shnth building workshop that I hosted. Music runs deep at the Node! - alan

Are there any dues paying members who can provide insight on hosting at node?

Definitely come by on a Thursday night if you're local! Something tells me that you're not close to Baltimore though, and you want to take the workshop on tour.

Next time I go to Open Hack on Thursday I can ask around. I can think of a few members who might be interested and perhaps haven't seen the thread yet.

What do you think the workshop will cost for attendees? Materials look to be at least $35.
